Looking for idea for fun family weekend things to do
This weekend...any suggestions? DD is 16 mos old if that makes a difference. Thanks!

We're taking the kids to the Oyster Festival this weekend in our neck of the woods (Oyster Bay). They have a cute petting zoo there and some rides for the kiddies.

I feel like we went to that year before last, but I don't remember seeing a petting zoo or rides. Where do they have that set up? Thanks for the idea!

I am taking the kids to Dee's Nursery in Oceanside on Sunday. It supposed to be great for Halloween

It was new last year and they will have it again this year.
Dee's Nursery is good, as is Hick's.

My friend was just telling me all the fun things they're doing there this weekend. Pony rides, face painting, etc. Sounds like fun!

Not sure where you live, but there is an Apple Festival in Sayville on Sat, and a Harvest Festival in Setauket on Sun. DD will be going with DH and Sat and with both of us on Sun.

The Bronx Zoo is always a great thing to do and they have the Childrens Zoo there also so the kids could pet the animals. I also love the Central Park Zoo and you could always walk around the park afterwards.
