Looking for inspiration: IVF chemical pregnancy followed by success?

I just had a chemical pregnancy following my first IVF cycle (beta numbers were WAY low and then eventually dropped). I just got AF today, and was told that I have to wait 1 cycle before starting round 2.

I am just looking for some positive stories because I'm feeling kinda down tonight. If anyone has a story to share about having an IVF chemical followed by success, I'd really love to hear it. Thank you.

My DD was born after a fresh IVF cycle which resulted in a miscarriage, a BFN frozen embryo transfer, and then third time was the charm for us after another frozen embryo transfer. She was also part of the last "batch" of embies I had left before starting a fresh cycle... Out of 16 embies, we were blessed to have her come to our lives!!! #1 Fresh IVF- led to early MC, dr didn't call it a chemical, just a mc, but #'s never got high and it only lasted a short time. I had to wait a cycle before trying again, Bc I started bleeding before the #'s were nothing.

#2 Frozen cryo- BFN

#3 Frozen cryo- led to MC. Numbers dropped fast. started bleeding the day I got a negative #. BC of that, I was able to count that as the beginning of my next cycle.

#4 Fresh IVF- from the beginning of this cycle the stars lined up or something like that. 15 eggs harvested, 15 fertilized, 13 made it to day 5, 2 transfered and 11 frozen. I'm 16 weeks with

My 1st IVF fresh cycle resulted in a chemical....
We did another fresh cycle immediately following and it resulted in DD

From the remaining frozen embies, we put back one and got DS # 2 !!


Many regular TTC'ers get chemicals they never even know about and assume its AF...We are just monitored SO close that we know every little thing that goes on with our bodies..

The fact that you were able to gwellet pregnant is HUGE and the fact that you already have a DC (as did I ) is a reassuring thing as well...

I also experienced a chemical pg after IVF (a FET, actually). Three months later, I was pg with triplets. Unfortunately, one triplet stopped growing at about 8 weeks, but four weeks ago, I gave birth to two healthy (and big) baby boys.

The chemical pregnancy was really hard on me, emotionally, but I found the best thing to do for myself was to look ahead, make a plan, and move forward. I hope you are feeling okay and that you have success very soon!

I had a miscarriage after my first IVF. Since I had nothing to freeze I had to do another fresh cycle. DD is now 27 months old.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate hearing your success stories.

I just wish I didn't think about this every single second of every single day. I'm so ready to not be living under this cloud of infertility.
