Looking for kitchen/dining rm. table set - help?
Our home has an eat in kitchen that is fairly spacious but no separate formal dining room. I am trying to make the kitchen table area feel a little special and not part of the kitchen. For example, we used to have a ceiling fan above our table but we moved it closer to the cooking area and installed a black iron chandelier for above the table. (I don't know how to copy pics from other websites but it's the Hampton Bay 5 light from Home Depot).
We currently have a hand-me-down kitchen table set that I cannot wait to replace. I was wondering if any of you have some suggestions on table sets that look more for a dining room but casual enough for a kitchen (kwim?).
If possible I would like 6 chairs and a leaf in the table. I don't want a black table so I guess a shade of brown wood? The cabinets are white (they came with the house) and we are *trying* to go with a tuscan look for the decor but the walls are still bare other than a large roman numeral clock that goes well with the new light fixture.
Once we have a table set, I'll be looking for an area rug to go underneath.
If you can post pics or links to some sets, it would be appreciated very much! TIA!

I just got this set- 8 chairs with the server buffet table from JCPenney. The table is rectagular but with the leaf (that folds underneath the table) it is a large square. LOVE IT!!!!
