Looking for opinions: how much would you pay for or charge for the following baby items at a yard sale?
Not sure how to price certain things. Don't want to over or under charge.
Everything we're going to be selling is used but in great condition - no stains/tears/damage/odors/very clean, etc.
Here's a list of what we're going to try to sell with the prices we think are fair. Please tell me if you think we're pricing things fairly. Thanks!!
- Rock n Play - $30? - vibrating bouncer seat - $25 - fold up baby swing - $25 - diaper genie - $15 - jj cole car seat cover - $10
Baby girl clothing items: (We have a lot in various sizes - only selling items in great condition)
- winter coats/snow suits/ fall jackets - maybe $5 or $10 each, depending on brand? (all coats were either never worn or worn once) -onesies - (so many!) - $1 each? or would $.50 each be more fair? -snap up pjs with the feet attached (some are fleece and some are cotton) -$1 or $2 each? -several pairs of dressy baby shoes, never worn -$2 or $3 each? -SwaddleMe's/Sleep Sacks - $3-5 each?
Like I said, I've never held a yard sale before, so I really don't know what would be fair prices. Thanks for any help!

Honestly I think the prices are too high. Ive had several yard sales. The pjs and shoes are a perfect price but the rock and play etc. too high jmo. People probably wont spend more than 10 dollars on those things. Which really sucks
Good luck

I'm an avid yard saler and your prices are VERY high. People are looking for rock bottom prices!! Sometimes they only come with $20 total in their pocket to spend for a whole day checking out yard sales. I always tell my friends who have yard sales, don't think of it as a money making opportunity... think about it as a "my house needs to be cleared of clutter, and I may make a buck or two in the process" opportunity.
If you're dead set on making some $$ on those items, try eBay! Its not as confusing/hard as most people think and you WILL get those types of prices on there, plus the buyers pay for the shipping.
Good luck!!

Thanks for the opinions, that's exactly what I was looking for! I think I will try eBay/craigslist, and the buy/sell thread in here before the yard sale because I don't want to let these things go for practically nothing.

I did better on eBay and Craigslist and fb mommy threads than I did at our yard sale when getting rid of that stuff when we moved! The Internet target people who want a specific item - where a yard sale gave people who have very little dollars burning on their pockets and want to get the most with it - it was def an experience having my first s couple if months ago !!!

I think the clothing items are fair prices if you're willing to negotiate a bit... bc I think that's what people try to do at yard sales. the items you listed first though, i think you're asking for too much. me personally, i'd never pay $30 for a used R&P, for example...

Re: Looking for opinions: how much would you pay for or charge for the following baby items at a yard sale?
Way overpriced!!!!! Even if its in perfect condition; its a yard sale so people look for super cheap. For example Rock N Play should be priced at maybe $15-20. All clothing should be $1 or $2 the most. Onesies should go for 10cents.
Sorry

Re: Looking for opinions: how much would you pay for or charge for the following baby items at a yard sale?
This is why I hate having yard sales. I think your prices are reasonable, but people at yard sales won't pay that. I agree, try the buy/sell board on here or Craigs List first.
ETA: and if the clothes are in good condition, try Once Upon a Child first. I got a lot of money for the stuff I sold them. They were a bit frustrating though, with what they would not take, but I ended up with over $150 in my pocket, and it was a lot faster and easier than the yard sale.
