Looking for recommendations a cordless vacuum to clean up my 18 mth yr old messes?

I vacuum everyday, but I am looking for something that I don't have to plug in, that is light and easy to grab to clean up cheerios, crackers etc...

I have a swifer vac. You use a swifer pad but it also sucks up small crumbs and pet hair. It is cordless, but you have to plug it in to charge it. It also has a little canister you have to empty. I use it in between pulling out the regular vacuum. It worked better than I thought it would, it can get into smaller places like under the tv stand, etc... that my reg vac can't. You can use it on rug though so it will only work on wood or tile. Let me know if you find something awesome.

I will tell you I have the blue/green shark and I HATE it! I'm in the market for a new one too

I have the one from black and decker. I LOVE that it has a spinning brush. I swear I use the thing about 5X a day!!
