Looking for recommendations for kids digital camera-Anyone have the Fisher Price Kids Tough one?

I also posted in Parenting, but not getting any responses...DD will be here in 16 days and we were thinking of getting DS (almost 3) a digital camera "from her". He loves taking pics with anyones camera he can get his hands on so I'm concerned about him not being interested in the ones that look more like toys than real cameras.... I've been looking at the Fisher Price and VTech cameras and leaning toward the FP Kids Tough See yourself, anyone have it? what do you, or should I say, your kids think of it?

We didn't bother with the cameras aimed at kids since DS always wants what we have anyway - a big kid's camera or grown-up camera. We found a Kodak that comes in bright colors and is actually waterproof so he can take it in the pool or bathtub or use it in the rain. It comes with a bright orange strap that makes the camera float so it can't get lost. It takes pretty good photos to and is easy to use. DS loves it. The price was reasonable too, and it's something he can use as he gets older (if he doesn't break it first - so far so good).

Don't buy it. We bought two for my DCs at Christmastime. Expensive pieces of plastic junk and one broke as we put batteries in it
We returned both and bought a used regular point and shoot off CL for $50 instead

I had one for Noah when he was younger and my godson has one now. The best part of it is that it can be thrown, dropped, stomped on and abused without breaking.

But the picture quality is not really good on the camera or the video. The 'game' functionality is limited and did not hold the interest of my son when he was smaller or my godson more recently.

I agree with getting a better quality point and shoot. It won't be as durable.. but I guess kids need to learn to be careful with things they care about anyway!
