Looking for recommendations: Play Kitchen AND Art Easel

DS' 2nd birthday is in less than 2 months I have been coming up with his birthday present list and need some recommendations.

We want to get him both a play kitchen and an art easel.

I have been looking at the Step 2 Grand Walk-in kitchen and the Lifestyle Deluxe. Anyone have either of these? What other's do you recommend?

For the ease,l so far I looked at a Melissa & Doug one (but concerned bc the legs look thin and are wood) and a Little Tikes one. What easel do you have and like?
