Banner on Broadway in Massapequa. They were great...our whole family uses them. I believe our system was between 4 and 5k. (have two pannels, and glass breakage sensors, etc.)

We use Slomin's Security. Their basic installlation package is usually free unless you upgrade, which we did (i.e., added windows, extra motion, etc.). I think we pay around $95 every 3 months.

Re: Looking for Recs on Home Alarms
We use VMS Security in Yaphank and they are terrific! Great personal service - 20+ years experience in the industry, they do their own installations, they don't sub-contract that out. Craig, the owner, is really a great guy. We called after-hours tonight with a question on our back up battery and the call center put us in touch with Craig - at his daughter's softball game! Helped us with what we needed and put my mind at ease.
You can see their basic package info on their website and you can upgrade from there, all the way up to remote video monitoring in your home if you want. I highly recommend paying the extra for the Alpha keypad that lets you know exactly what zone or window is not closed or tripping the alarm if you have a problem via text, not a code number.
They have a Preferred Customer program too where you get a card good for discounts from some of his commercial customers. If you go with VMS I'd appreciate your letting me know so you can let him know who referred you - they also offer bonus months monitoring for referrals.

Re: Looking for Recs on Home Alarms
We use Slomins. I really like them. The install is free, for 2 or 3 doors (not sure 2 or 3 sorry) the motion sensor and the keypad. If you want more than that it will be extra. We wanted an extra keypad for the garage because we enter through there frequently, I believe that was a little more than $100, ect. The consultation was free, so they can always look over your house and give you a price, tell you what they would recommend doing and you can go from there.
