Looking for TV stand for bedroom
We're getting a new bedroom set for our bedroom. Now just figuring out where to put the TV and on what.
We're getting a platform bed, headboard, 2 night stands, armoir and 5 draw chest. We're unsure of the triple dresser because we're trying to figure out the layout of our bedroom with the new furniture and where to put the TV.
Option 1 items orderd armoir and draw chest. Place order for the triple dresser. Put TV on the triple dresser and figure out set up for other items.
Option 2 getting armoir and chest. Use armoir as wall unit for TV.
Option 3 getting armoir and dresser. Get regular tv stand of some sort.
Option 4 Items that were ordered get them in the room and see how the set up is, and then decide if triple dresser is needed.
How do you have your bedroom set up and where do you have your TV if you have one in the bedroom.
I like option 2 and 4. hubby pretty much can go any which way. He really doesnt care. But I am having the hardest time figuring out the layout and organizing. Pics are always appreciated for ideas.
Thanks in advance

Re: Looking for TV stand for bedroom
I like option 2 and 4 as well. It really helps some people to get the dimesions of the furniture and then make paper or cardboard cutouts to those frloor dimensions. this way you can "kinda tell" how much room they will take up. OR just order those pieces and see how they look before ordering others.
JMO, but I like armoires for tv's because I like to be able to close them up and not see the tv.
I'm ordering our new set soon... bed, nightstands, armoire for his clothes and tv which will be across from the foot of the bed, and triple dresser for me which will be next to my side of the bed. We have his and her closets in the room.

Re: Looking for TV stand for bedroom
my bedroom is large and we have heirloom furniture so we couldn't order select pieces. We have a large low dresser w/mirror that is mine, my DH has a tall chest of drawers. We have night stands & I have another family piece of furniture, a desk & chair. Our tv is mounted to the wall directly across from the foot of our bed. Our ceiling is vaulted so its up high too. edited to say BHG.com has a feature called "arrange a room" that is free & easy to use.

Put the TV in the armoire, it looks so much nicer then having the tv on the dresser, unless you plan on getting a plasma for the wall.

Re: Looking for TV stand for bedroom
When we finally get around to getting bedroom furniture, I want to put the TV in an armoire.

Re: Looking for TV stand for bedroom
We have the TV on a nice wall-mount in the corner that DH hung up.

Re: Looking for TV stand for bedroom
Options 2 or 4 sound the best.
I taped out the measurements for my bedroom furniture before I ordered (already had the bed in place). I left the tape in place a few days to make sure I was satisfied. (Our bedroom is not large- so there was no room for error.)
The card board idea is also really good. I hadn't thought of that.
