Looks like I'm joining you ladies over here...
DH and I started TTC in November. I was diagnosed with PCOS in September so my doctor had me start charting my BBT. My cycles typically last anywhere from about 34-47 days. Well I am currently on CD 54 and I have no signs of AF and no positive tests. I called my doctor two weeks ago and she took a look at my charts and determined I am not ovulating. She sent me to an infertility specialist and we met with him last week. He's doing some blood work and we have a follow up appointment in 2 weeks. At that point we'll decide on a course of action in order to help me ovulate.
I am really just in a complete daze about all of this. With my daughter we got pregnant on the first month of trying. I did not expect there to be any problems at all this time around. This has been such an emotional rollercoaster for the last 4 months. I actually thought I was pregnant a couple of weeks ago because I had some minor spotting that I thought could be implantation spotting. But I guess I was wrong. I just don't know how to feel about everything that is going on. I feel lucky that we at least have my daughter and I know we are so lucky for that. But that still doesn't help me feel as if I'm missing out on something. DH and I planned on having a big family, 4 or 5 kids. And now to find out that we might only have one is heartbreaking. Again I know how lucky I am to at least have one. And I feel bad complaining to some of you who don't have any. But like I said finding out that the one might be the only one is still hard to deal with.
Anyway, thank you for letting me share. Please take this the right way but I hope my time here is short!! I'm trying to remain positive and I'm hoping that we'll get pregnant really soon. I look forward to sharing with all of you and being there to listen to all of you.

Hi Jenn,
I hope your stay here is short! Sometimes there is a secondary infertility that happens to women. It could be some scar tissue from the first pregnancy or a polyp in the uterus.
Many times a round of clomid or metformin will put your cycle back in sync.
Good Luck with whatever you decide!
Best

I hope your stay here is short also...this is not a board where we want long time members. Get em in and get em out, hopefully. It sounds like you have a very treatable problem. I hope they put you on Clomid and you get PG quickly. It worked for my friend and I hope it will work for you.

Re: Looks like I'm joining you ladies over here...
Hi Jenn - like eveyrone else said we always hope for short stays so no need to worry about that.
First I want to offer you so many because I know EXACTLY how you feel. I also have secondary IF and when I joined this board *gulp* almost a year and a half ago I was so worried about how the girls here would receive me. Like you I knew just how fortunate I was to have DS but the pain was still unbearable. Well the woman here have been amazing to me.
Now I had a harder time than you TTC #1 although he was conceived spontaneously (no ART) and I now have secondary IF unexplained, but with a male factor. You are in a much better situation. It is much easier to get someone to ovulate. I have a feeling once you get to the right doctor they will have you ovulating in no time.

You have every right to be here and talk about wanting another child just as much as the rest of us. Don't feel badly about that.
Good luck to you. I hope your stay is short and they figure you out and fix you up quick!

Welcome and may your stay be short.
Be sure you have a dr. that knows a lot about PCOS. Talk to them about diet as that is a HUGE factor in PCOS. Get on that Metformin, take your temp and don't worry it will happen. Don't be afraid to ask for Clomid sooner rather than later.
I was diagnosed in June and just finally had some success! There is hope!

Re: Looks like I'm joining you ladies over here...
Thank you all so much for your kinds words and support. I really appreciate all of the advice. We go back to the doctor in 2 weeks and I am hoping at that time we'll have a lot more answers. Right now we're still in kind of a holding pattern. He said that when we come back and he has all of the blood work we'll figure out what medication I should take. In the meantime DH and I are both focusing on losing weight and working out. I figured that should help the whole process.
Again thank you all. It really helps me a lot to know that you ladies are here for me if I need some support.
