Loss of menstral cycle

Did anyone who had multiple losses lose their cycle? Either entirely or where it has gotten to the point of just spotting? If so, did a dr find e cause?

I met with a new dr yesterday because i changed my insurance. In October, I found out that I had a very large cyst and it could be hemmoragic or deromid. I've had both (pcos) and surgeries for both so I wasn't shocked. Once before when I had a dermoid, my period stopped entirely u til I had surgery and they simultaneously performed ovarian drilling and then it stopped again. I assumed that my cycle halted because of is huge cyst. Well, according to today's sono, the cyst is gone, so why hasn't my cycle resumed?

The dr did bloodwork today to check for a few this, like thyroid function and early menopause but she seemed unconcerned. I, on the other hand, am concerned. So that's why I'm curious about if anyone had a loss of cycles following multiple losses.

Tomorrow I will be making an appointment with a different doctor because I'm concerned that she's not concerned. I probably sound like a hypochondriact but i swear, I'm just at my wits end with laxadasical doctors.

Re: Loss of menstral cycle

When I first started TTC my cycles kept getting longer and my periods lighter until it stopped altogether. Turns out I had a thyroid problem that was otherwise asymptomatic and had been masked by BC pills for years.

Once I got my thyroid regulated everything went back to normal!

I just moved/changed insurances so I saw an ob/gyn who specializes in infertility but I'm looking for a RE after yesterday. Previously, I was a patient of both Dr Lydic and Dr Braverman.

They did check my thyroid function yesterday and I'm waiting on the results. My mother has an under active thyroid so I've always been screened for it in the past and never had an issue but I wouldn't be surprised. Thanks for sharing your experience!
