Re: Lost 2 Lbs--and 9 weeks pregnant
yep....
When I was PG, I was kinda sick at the beginning, I lost about 12-14 lbs before week 15
The drs will tell you, the baby will take FROM you all it needs, so you may unfortunatly not feel great, but the baby will not starve.
Thats why they overweight women they can technically not gain any weight when PG and be fine.

Re: Lost 2 Lbs--and 9 weeks pregnant
Supposedly your metabolism increases by 25% when you're pregnant. Maybe yours is working overtime and made you lose weight. I don't think 2 lbs is much to worry about - if you continue to lose weight you should talk to your dr.

Re: Lost 2 Lbs--and 9 weeks pregnant
I lost 3 lbs my first tri. I attribute it to burning more calories. I hardly threw up from m/s and I did manage to eat something despite food aversions.

Re: Lost 2 Lbs--and 9 weeks pregnant
I've lost about 4lbs and I am almost 9 weeks. My Dr. said at this point she isn't going to worry, but that if it continues after the end of the first trimeaster they may consider putting me on medication.

Re: Lost 2 Lbs--and 9 weeks pregnant
I lost 13 pounds 1st trimester due to bad m/s - I gained back between 3-5, depending on the day.... I was thin to begin with, but weighed a lot due to muscle, so I looked emaciated when I lost the weight and everyone freaked out, which of course made me feel like crap. I can only eat and keep food down thanks to Zofran (they need to start paying me for advertising so regularaly!!!)

Re: Lost 2 Lbs--and 9 weeks pregnant
I lost almost 10 pounds the first trimester. I had slight MS but was mainly just nauseous with no appetite most of the time. At almost 21 weeks, I have gained back the 10 pounds I lost and definitely have my appetite back! I do remember during the first trimester that nothing tasted the same to me and certain foods repulsed me. Anyway, I think it's normal - just check with your doc and have him or her monitor your weight.

Re: Lost 2 Lbs--and 9 weeks pregnant
It depends. I have found that some woman lose a couple of pounds because they actually eat healthier. Because they tend to eat salad rather than cake - they might shed a couple of pounds.
