Lost all data on hard drive..pictures, music, everything..I am devestated!!!!
I am so upset.
It looks like we lost everything. Every single picture of my daughter, every song I have ever had, just GONE!
My dh thinks it overheated..
When we click on the "D" drive, you still see it but it comes up that its not formatted and it seems as if the partition got erased.
Does anyone know what I can do?? Or is there anyone on here who does data recovery??? Please let me know, I have been in tears ALL DAY..please help!

Noreen, aww Im keeping my fingers crossed, a friend of mine had this happen and found a data recovery place, I will contact her and FB message you when I hear back

I got about 75% off my stuff back from a data recovery place years ago. It was expensive but very necessary. Now I backup like crazy and I backup in several different ways. I even store backups off-site. If my office burns down I would still have everything and the same goes for my house. It is really scary to almost lose everything on a computer. Hang in there!

my husband knows how to do data recovery and unfortunately wasn't able to retrieve ANYTHING of mine about 3 years ago when my computer crashed. 
i learned the hard way to back everything up on an external hard drive.
i really hope you can recover your files! it is the worst feeling in the world thinking everything is gone
