Lost BIrth Certificate
I cannot find my kid's Birth Cerficates anywhere. I am sooo upset I am shaking. Does anyone know where I can order new ones. Thanks

awww dont worry, im sure you can get new ones... i actually think i lost my DD's when she was a baby too because i moved into a new apartment.. but i was able to get a new one with no problem.. i think i just called the town hall in the town she was born.. it might have cost some money, but if i remember correctly it wasnt any more than like $30. this was like 4yrs ago, so my memory is a little fuzzy, but dont be sad!!

Just go to the health department- they'll issue you another one (bring ID).

I've never heard of the health department issuing BC's. Where do you live? Usually you get it from the Town Clerk and it's not an actual copy, it's a transcript so it doesn't have the weight and all that other information on it. At least not the Town of Brookhaven resident ones.

Town Hall in the City of Birth. Last time I had to get one it was $10. You get it at the Town Clerks office. The Town Of Huntington doesnt charge you in some circumstances...

I had to order a copy of my birth certificate a few year back. It's definitely an easy process...but I think you need to start with the town of the child's birth and see which exact department you need to contact.

I live in MD so I guess it's different.
