Re: lost iphone question
Did you have the find my iPhone app? If so you should be able to track it. Did the carrier suspend your service? That maybe why there is a message saying the phone is no longer in service.

Re: lost iphone question
If someone has it, they will still be able to access your pictures and stuff because even though you turned off the service, it's still like an ipod. If you had Find My Iphone installed or icloud you can wipe your data or lock it to prevent someone from looking at your stuff.

Re: lost iphone question
we dont have apple stores around here :( i dont have the find me app on my phone. i did get logged on and put in 11 reminders going off at different times through out the day with my home phone # to call me if they have it.
i know it was dead as of last night. or run over if it fell on the road. which i hope that is the case if i did lose it on a street somewhere and someone dosent just have my phone.

Re: lost iphone question
so i called apple. the guy said that since i reported it lost with my provider that even if someone finds it, charges it they cannot turn my phone on! what a relief. i asked him about 800 times if he was sure and he said yes i am positive the phone is useless to people now. they would have to jail break and it and wipe it clean in order to get it working again.

Re: lost iphone question
I set a password on my phone. It's a good practice. When you get it working again, set the password.
