Lost some weight
so i went to my doctors on fri and found out i had gained 10 pounds in 4 weeks! and i havent even been that bad food wise! up to that point i was doing so well, gaining 3-4 pounds at each visit, my dr wasnt concerned now though and thought it was just a bad month (i popped this month big time) but said if i gained another 10 by the next visit we will have to sit down and go over what i am eating, so over the past 5 days i started eating healthier, stopped snacking on any junk, etc and i am down 5 pounds i know we shouldnt lose weight during the pregnancy, but atleast now this if i gain the 5 pounds back by my next visit in 3 weeks, i wont feel as bad, this weight thing is tough!

Re: Lost some weight
I am someone who gains about 10 lbs the minute I get pregnant! Ridiculous as it sounds I start retaining so much water and with other "things" growing I usually manage to go to my first OB appt 10 pounds heavier than I was before I was pregnant!
I would just watch what you eat and as long as you know that you arent over doing it dont worry..My last pregnancy I was on a strick diet, which I followed to the letter, and in 2 weeks I had gained 7 lbs!...Must of be retaining a ton of water that week..although Im sure the OB thought Id been cheating...
Good Luck

Re: Lost some weight
thanks ladies, i am 24 weeks, so my ob said to gain around a pound a week from now on, although i was thin to begin with, so she said even if i gain 5 pounds every time i go for my 4 week app't thats OK. I also am retaining a lot of water, and like i said above, i didnt even think i was eating bad before i gained the 10 pounds in the one month (i love my OB but i can see she didnt really beleive that though it's true), but just to make sure i am being extra careful with what goes in my mouth, b/c i still have m/s carbs are the only thing that helps a little bit, but now i am making sure to have lots of veggies and fruits too, even if it doesnt help the m/s. i do think i am one of those people who is going to gain the weight no matter what i eat

Re: Lost some weight
I, too, gained 10 lbs at my last appt (yesterday, at 23 weeks). My doctor didn't say a word about it and the nurse (who was actually the one who weighed me) said it was normal at this time to gain a large amount since a lot of us "pop" around now.
However, even though no one said anything, I am going to try to eat better until my next appt and see if that makes any difference. While I don't go nuts, I certainly could do better!
