Re: Lovingf family grand dollhouse vs the loving family Home for the Holidays dollhouse

I got the regular one for DD for Hanukkah. You could always get the seasonal living room for Christmas time. Just think of July, will you want Christmas decor out or not? I think the seasonal one is beautiful. This week the regular one is on sale at TRU either at 124 or 59. I will say finding the rooms is a huge pain. I got the 59 one a few weeks ago. The laundry room and small living room were at TRU along with the seasonal living room. I went to walmart for the kids bedroom and the dining room. My local Shop Rite had the bathroom. I finally got the kitchen from Amazon over the weekend. It was a huge pain finding the rooms. I spent about the same amount on the rooms as if I got it for 125.

ETA: According to the FP website the seasonal one has removable decorations. I happen to like it better.

I got DD the regular one. But with the holiday one you can remove all the Christmas decorations and accessories and put everyday ones (I think that is why it is mire expensive)
I bought the regular one before thanksgiving for $59 and the rooms were buy one get one 50% off. I agree with other the other post above me, PIA finding rooms right now. I'm sure after the holidays I will be easier.
At TRU at the time I was able to get seasonal room, puppy play time, bathroom, kitchen, and living room. I ordered from fisher price the the kids bedroom, everything for baby, the grandpa, and the toddler ( they were having free shipping) and I ordered from amazon the twin nursery which was the hardest thing to find. But it dropped to $17 so I jumped on.
Sorry, got off track.
When I bought the house I didn't know about the holiday one. I think it is cute. And I definitly might have bought it if it was on sale. I believe some places do have it on sale right now. Check the FP website too.

we have the regular one. i don't want to have to remember to decorate their dollhouse in addition to the rest of the house.

I got it at TRU for 150, Fisher price has it for 200! (both fully furnished homes)

I only bought it b/c they did not have the Grand dollhouse, so that's why I wanted some thoughts since I am on the fence about keeping it.

However, I do like the colors better but I wonder if my DD would prefer a pink house? hmmm Also...though, it seems the Holiday house has bigger rooms. I compared the rooms of the 2 and the holiday one has much bigger floors.

Also yes, the decorations come off and get stored away (they give you a little xmas box to put them away). So I sort of like that too...some of the bedding is reversible and I am not a fan of that, since I dont want to see any xmas stuff when its not xmas. But I could always buy a different bedroom set if I want to totally get away from the xmas.

I will probably just keep it and forget about the pink one. I hope I CAN forget about the pink one, hope I made the right choice and didnt settle.

I think they're both really nice and I don't think you can go wrong either way!

My almost 3 yr old DD is getting the grand dollhouse for Xmas. I didn't even know there was a holiday one at that time, or I would have totally considered it.
