You can also go to FriendsofAnimals.org and they have a program where you pay them a minimum amount and they send you to a local participating vet for the spay/neuter...we did this for Misty and her spay cost $90 plus meds.
The money is a donation to Animal Organizations.

My vet
Dr. Blauvelt on Carmen Avenue accepts the Friends of animals "coupon"
You can do a search of the participating vets on the website
male dogs are now $64
female dogs $90
