Low PAPP-A found during NT scan
Downs risk was of a 20 yr old so that is good, but the protein PAPP-A is very low which Dr. said is indicator I could MC, and many other bad things. I am on Lovenox, BA and monitored closely due to placenta issues which Dr. said is the treatment.
Anyone have experience with low PAPP-A?

Re: Low PAPP-A found during NT scan
I had a low PAPP-A with my first pregnancy that I only knew about because It came back that I had increased risk for down syndrome on my ultrascreen for my age( 1 in 160). Dr never even mentioned it I just saw it on the paperwork and he definitely never mentioned an increase risk for miscarriage. There were no interventions discussed with me for a low PAPP-A. My beautiful daughter from that pregnancy is now almost 4! Good Luck!!

Re: Low PAPP-A found during NT scan
This is my 3rd pregnancy and for all 3 I have had a very very low Papp-a. With all 3 I have had extra ultrasounds to monitor growth. My first was 6 weeks early, my second was full term and I am still pregnant with my 3rd. They are healthy happy boys :)

Re: Low PAPP-A found during NT scan
Hi, I don't have experience with this BUT I am 32 weeks with a healthy baby girl aftet two previous losses AND all sorts of other issues. We joke that this pregnancy is like a lifetime movie! I had low beta in the beginning, placenta previa for the 1st trimester, morning sickness so severe I was prescribed zofran, thrombilia that requires two lovenox shots a day , overactive killer cells that required twelve weeks od intralipid transfusions, and at one point the cord was around the babies neck!!!
My point being...you can have some scares along the way and still reach your final destination with a healthy baby. Keep the faith mama.
