Low progesterone
I was wondering if anyone had any experience with low progesterone? I'm reading up on the issue of spotting for several days prior to AF and it seems low progesterone is a common cause.
This is only my 3rd month off the pill, so I could just be regulating of course but I am concerned about conceiving and then not being able to maintain the pregnancy.

Low progesterone
The moment you get a bfp I would call your ob and check your levels. If your progesterone is truly low they can supplement it and help maintain the pregnancy.

Re: Low progesterone
Spotting before you get AF could be totally normal. I spot before, and my progesterone levels are good. Am pregnant with DC#2 and never needed progesterone support during a pregnancy.

Low progesterone
After 11 months of ttc I found out I have low progesterone after going for bloodwork. I'll be on month #2 of clomid because of it to help me ovulate better. I've never had spotting before AF but everyone is different.

Re: Low progesterone
I would ask your doc about progesterone supps. I have low progesterone/short LP issues, I used crinone and was able to extend my LP long enough to get pregnant.

Re: Low progesterone
I have low progesterone. I've never spotted, but my LP is very short. I got pregnant with DD with no issues. This pregnancy was clomid/crinone.

Re: Low progesterone
I needed progesterone to support my pregnancy with my dd. the minute I found out I was pregnant I went to the doc for beta and prog checks. my prog was low and I was on suppositories until about 14w. I had a healthy pregnancy and a healthy dd =) when I become pregnant again I will go immediately to the doc to check my levels to see if I need to be on prog again.

Did you go to your regular OB or an RE for the suppositories? I had low progesterone with my 2nd DS and was put on suppositories by an RE. But there were no other issues with me getting/staying pregnant that I really needed to see an RE. So I'm wondering if next time around (if there is one!) I can just go to my OB.
