Lower back pain & Difficulty swallowing?
Last night I had very crampy lower back pain, different from any mild aches I've had before, then this morning I ate an English muffin and couldn't swallow tea afterwards, it was like the muffin got stuck.
I called my OB's office and there isn't a doctor there until this afternoon, so the nurse said to call my internist. I didn't even bother, I'm not concerned about me, I'm concerned about the baby, that I'm having pre-term labor or something. So I said I'd really like to see my OB this afternoon, and finally she said ok.
Am I overreacting?

I dont think you are overreacting at all. Your insurance company pays the dr. to their job. If you feel it necessary to go in for a check up or peace of mind, the receptionist shouldnt question it.
Good luck later at the appointment, keep us posted.

Maybe, I've never had reflux before. Is the pain really bad, like you can't breathe or like you're having a heart attack?

Thanks everyone. Yeah, something just feels different re: the lower back pain and the swallowing. It's probably nothing but I'm going to see the doc just in case. Thanks again.
