lowering the crib

How old was your baby when you lowered the crib to the lowest point? We had to lower it today because when I went to check on Sara she was on her knees holding the railing to her crib . She is not even 6 months old

Re: lowering the crib

AT about 6 months we lowered it all the way down. Once he was able to sit in the crib we knew it wouldn't be long before he pulled himself up in it so we figured we would lower it all the way. Good thing we did b/c it didn't take long for him to pull himself upChat Icon .

Between 5 & 6 months w/ both of my boys.

If she's pulling up to her knees, it's time. Chat Icon I dropped it all the way - I've got tall boys! Chat Icon

Re: lowering the crib

Okay this makes me nervous....my DD turns 6mths next week and she is still in her cradleChat Icon well that is when she is not in bed with us - she really doesnt sleep in her cradle all night as she turns around too much and I am nervous...

But her crib is arriving tomorrow and I would have put the mattress at the top level if I hadnt logged on here..Chat Icon

She is not pulling herself up onto her knees yet...so should I just put it in at the lowest level to be on the safe side?

Sorry to hijack your post "samlove" ....Chat Icon

Re: lowering the crib

no problem - Maybe put it half way down if she is not pulling herself up yet.
