Anyone ever bought anything? It's like a home party clothing store. Seems weird and I'm not sure I get it....

I just bought my first pair of leggings and a dress last night. I figured if I don't like them, I can sell it. People go nuts over their stuff.

My friend had a party a couple of months ago and I didn't buy anything because I wasn't a fan of the patterns. My friend loves it, though.

I'm obsessed with the TC leggings. Some patterns are a bit too wild for me, but for the most part, they've got a good variety. They're the softest and most flattering leggings I've ever owned (I have 7 pairs Chat Icon).

I just wish they made capri length, so they can be worn in the summer.

Not my style. I feel like it's just a trend. My DH's cousin started selling it, so my MIL and DH's aunts are all over it. I don't want to wear the same clothes they're all wearing lol. They're all constantly posting pics of themselves on FB in the clothes. Of course, my MIL bought me a pair of leggings but they didn't fit me right so I gave them back to her to return for something she can wear.

Re: LulaRoe

its like a cult. I have friends who all have Facebook parties. The business side of if it you need to invest 6k for the inventory and start up. it was started by a sAhm mom I believe.

its also based on Mormon modesty clothing. so the cuts of clothing are flowy, boxy,. I hear good things about their leggings which I want to try, but just black. Their patterns are just too ugly IMO. not for me.

some of the dresses look frumpy too. its not my cup of tea, but ladies seem to love it.

its all done online via Facebook I believe or home parties where people cart clothing racks for people to buy off of.
when patterns are discontinued people pay big bucks for them off ebay.

IMO all that direct sales stuff is cult like.
It Works, Beach Body, etc.
When I want something I go to a store or order off Amazon prime or whatever.
I can't deal with direct sales

Re: LulaRoe

I actually just found this brand. I purchased a pair of leggings and a shirt to try them out. I have several friends who have invested and I would like to try the brand for them. The investment is crazy expensive like the previous poster suggested...like $6000. Some of the patterns are a little wild..but I kind of like that about them. I wouldn't walk around with pizza slices on my leggings...but I'm always down for a good floral or geometric pattern Chat Icon We'll see. I'm going in open minded.

Re: LulaRoe

The clothes are really comfortable. The patterns can be pretty wild, but I like that it takes me out of my comfort zone. I have a bunch of dresses and skirts that I wear to work and get a lot of complements on them. The quality can be hit or miss though.

It is totally addicting, I used to come on here to see if anyone knew anything about it. Then I bought a pair of black leggings, then i bought more and now I became a consultant on Monday!

I have a few pairs of leggings and I like them - they are very comfy. My cousin has some of their skirts which are nice too.

I guess the mark up is high because people make back their investment plus profit right away.

Re: LulaRoe

Me personally not into it. I did buy a skirt from them and can use as a beach coverup. Lots of people love it and from what I understand people are nutzo over this brand. My sister sells LulaRoe if anyone is interested. She is on FB LuLaRoe~ VIP by Mariel & Lisa. They are having a sale tonight at 9pm.

I had never heard of this but just looked and there was a short dress with elbow sleeves that was cute but yeah, nothing else appeals to me.

Is it expensive? It looks like something that would be a rip off. Though I guess this woman who started it needs $$ to support her 7 kids!

I went to the site just now to take another look. I have only really seen the leggings etc.

But the dresses and skirts all seem to have a LOT of loose and flowy fabric, and pleats- which would make me look as wide as the side of a barn!
Anything with too much extra fabric makes me look way bigger than I am.

There are plenty of flowy styles, but the Cassie pencil skirt and Julia dress are both form fitting. I find the Cassie to be more comfortable than other pencil skirts that I own because the material is pretty stretchy.

The leggings are ridiculously soft. I got a weirdish print which is so not like me but I'm kinda digging it.

I also got a dress which is actually cute but the material is eh.
