Lumps on neck - need doc recommendation

Hi Ladies,

I'm hoping someone has had a similar experience with their little one and can recommend a specialist.

My DD has a few lumps on her neck, which her peditrician has said are inflammed lymph nodes. I just don't feel completely comfortable with this diagnosis and want to take her to see a specialist.

Anyone have a similiar situation or recommendation for a doctor that focuses on the throat area?

Sorry I do not have any recommendations, but if it makes you feel any better my DS has this too and my ped said it was ok.

If you are still concerned, I would ask your ped for a referral to a specialist. Im sorry I have no idea what type of doctor would handle something like this.

My son also has similar "lumps" on his neck which are lymph nodes for several months I just went to the pediatrician who said they were normal.
i think another opinion could be from an ENT ( ears nose throat md).

My ds had them when he was a baby. My ped said they were swollen lymph nodes and not to worry. He is now 21 months and no issues. I was so scared when I first felt them, looked up on google and found they are quite common in little ones

My DD has one of these too. The Ped said it was the same as the above. Nothing to worry about.

It wasn't my DS but I had one on my neck (and it's been there forever) but one day it felt different. They sent me for a sono to make sure that it was a lymph node and it was.

Ask your ped for a referral for a sono to check. It'll put your mind at ease.

Thanks Ladies!!! I'm sure it's just a swollen lymph node like all of you have experienced but just to be sure, sounds like an ENT is a good second opinion to go to. Thanks Again!
