Maclaren Quest - keep or Exchange (Need Lt Stroller for Vaca.)
I had registered for and received a Maclaren Quest for my shower and it's still in the box as we haven't had the need for it yet. However, we are planning our first family vacation to Atlantis and there will be a lot of walking involved. I obviously need a light-weight, but comfortable (reclining) umbrella stroller. I feel like there are mixed reviews about the Quest and being that it was not cheap, should I exchange for something that is better and less money (there are many things I can use the credit for) or just keep it? I'm concerned mostly about the "tippiness" of it.

I love my maclaren, but the one thing I hate the most is that there is no snack tray. Maclaren doesn't even make one for it. Some on here sent me a link to a tray that fits the maclaren but its 40 so I haven't picked it up yet, but I'm going to soon.
Don't know if any of that helps you, but just thought I'd tell you.

I totally agree with this. I LOVE my maclaren quest, but would like to have a snack tray. Otherwise, its lightweight, reclines a bit, and DS always seems comfortable.

What about the "tippiness" factor and the canopy? I am a little spoiled by the awesome canopy on my P3. The Quest canopy looks like it serves no purpose? Has this been as issue?

The quest is a good stroller. I got an organizer to put diapers, wipes and a change of clothes. McClaren sells one and is pretty roomy. It does tip if you try to put a loaded diaper bag on it, but with just your purse and the organizer it's fine. I also got an extra sunshade, but have yet to use it, the canopy serves it's purpose just fine.
However, for our trips to Disney and Cancun we brought our large Uppababy. It's fine to bring a large stroller on vacation. Really no different than using one at home. We would take it down to the pool with us and it was no big deal at the airport.'
Have fun at Atlantis

I LOVE my Quest. We bought it for a vacation and wound up using it so much. None of my strollers have ever had a snack tray so I dont miss that (we always just clipped on toys and used a snack trap).
