Maddie & Joseph's drawings
The first one is Maddie's New Year's resolution. We only hope she keeps to it. So far, so good.
Yes, that's a crown on her head. I don't think she's ever drawn a photo of herself without the crown. It's how I can pick out her pictures when I go to Meet the Teacher Night. She's the one in pink with the crown.
The next was Joseph's work in school. He was told to draw a photo of the worst thing that's happened to him.
It broke my heart. At first I thought it was a photo of me yelling at them to get in the car in the morning.
Then I realized it was a man yelling at them and I was upset with DH. Yeah, I know it makes no sense, since I've yelled at them for the same thing.
When I asked Joseph what was the worse thing that ever happened to him, he said "Remember when you & Daddy went away on vacation without us?" That's Joseph on the front porch. DH & I are in the car. The ones in the window are my parents who they stayed with. Right. No more week long vacations until they're older & don't draw anymore.

Oh Barb, that made me sad.
But if you going away for the week and leaving your kids with your parents is the worst thing that ever happened to Joseph, then that is one happy kid.
