Made Melbernai's Baked French Toast - YUM!
I made the Baked French Toast that Melbernai posted. It was so yummy. I was only making it for me DH & DD so I only used 8 slices of bread (I left the crusts on) and halved the recipe. (We have half left)
I made it in a corning ware dish. I don't think I heated the oven up enough so I cooked it longer. I just decided to make it this morning so I just let it sit in the egg for 2 hours. Still great.
Baked French Toast
Prepare it the night before and just bake it in the morning.
6 eggs 1 cup of milk 1 loaf of bread 1 stick of butter 1 cup brown sugar 1 tsp cinnamon 1tsp vanilla
mix butter cinn. vanilla, sugar together -- sprinkle 1/2 of mixtuer on the bottom of a large baking dish.
remove crusts from bread and make one layer in dish.
pour half of egg/milk mixture over bread.
put a 2nd layer of bread in baking dish. pour over the rest of egg mixture and crumble the rest of sugar mixture on top.
let it sit in the fridge overnight for the bread to get nice and soaked up.
bake in a 350 oven for about 20-25 minutes or until nicely browned.

That's the same recipe that I use.. except I use evaporated milk and I don't let it sit overnight. I agree that it's AWESOME!
ETA: It's not exactly the same but it's super similar.. I got mine from tg2008 who posted this link:Baked French Toast
