Madeleine McCann's parents on Oprah
(Just saw it on DVR) How sad. I can't believe it's been 2 years. My heart is breaking when I think that someone might have hurt her . I can barely hold back tears

I saw them on Oprah today too. I can't even imagine what these parents are going through. I haven't been able to stop thinking about it all night.

same here. my heart has been heavy all evening since watching it.
I cant imagine the pain.

I didnt watch it because my mom said it was so sad. Those poor parents, my mom said you could see the agony in their faces. How heartbreaking, it really makes you never want to let your kids out of your sight.

I couldn't watch it-I tried but with a few minutes I had to turn it off. It's just too much. I don't want to think about anything like that happening to my family.

I watched it and my heart broke for those poor people. When the dad said a friend saw a man carrying a child wearing the same pajamas as Madeleine I was shocked.
I watched the show with a friend of mine from the UK. She didn't have as much sympathy for the parents. She knew a lot about the case and thought the parents acted weird the whole time. She wanted Oprah to ask them about this:
— Police telling Portuguese newspapers that a large quantity of Madeleine’s hair was found in the trunk of the car that her parents hired 25 days after she disappeared.
Evidence suggesting that Kate and Gerry McCann, the parents of the missing girl who disappeared just short of her fourth birthday, were involved in their daughter’s death was passed to the judge late Tuesday night.

I haven't watched it yet... I think I have to mentally prepare myself.
I think that's worse than a child being killed.. because you DON'T KNOW what is / has happened to her.
I couldn't live like that... They would have to heavily sedate me...

I have followed this loosely at best ove rthe years, but I really do thin kthey ar innocent. It's ben 2 yrs and they are quietly still looking and to me, that speaks volumes.

This was a really sad story. I also didn't realize someone saw a man carrying a little girl.
What I think? Someone def was watching them and knew what time they went to check on their kids-would I have left them in their room by themselves? No-but it was very close by, safe country, so there was no need for alarm.
I really do feel for them.

I watched. I felt terribly for them. I can't imagine they did anything to their own little girl.
I missed the first 10-15 mins... did Oprah ask they why they think only Madeleine was taken and not the other two children?

I don't watch Oprah but I saw a commericial for it, that alone tugged at my heartstrings.
I hope they find this little girl alive and well, and SOON!!

I think they are innocent, no question about it, however they feel an amazing amount of guilt because at the end of the day, they left their kids alone in a hotel room. Its a really sad story, and I hope wherever she is, she is not being abused.

I think the Portuguese police are trying to blame them b/c they don't like the negative press. It is much more "comforting" to people that parents did this to their own child rather than there is some lunatic out there that kidnapped and possibly murdered a child. The mother's face alone was heartbreaking. She looked thoroughly exhausted and heartbroken. What a horrible story - sort of reminds me of the movie Taken with Liam Neeson.
