Mads is being treated for Lyme disease
She developed a bulls-eye rash a few days ago, so the ped put her on 800mg of amoxicillan for almost 3 weeks. We were on the east end of LI 2 weeks ago and she was all over my parent's yard, so who knows when she got bit. I never found a tick on her.
She's never been on antibiotics before (I know- I'm crazy lucky).
Ironically, she woke up with a head cold 2 days ago (stupid dirty gym childcare, well, stupid mommy for forgetting to Purell her hands after stupid, dirty gym childcare) so she is out of her mind with feeling yuck.
And I get to go back to work next week after having the summer off.
Looking forward to a craptastic weekend!

It's good you caught it. It's hard to find those deer ticks--they are tiny and tend to be brownish so they can blend in with skin.

I was thinking of that as I know what amoxicillan does to me. Are there probiotics WITHOUT dairy in them?

Keep some binding foods on hand . . . bananas, wheat bread for toast, rice, applesauce
The amox did a number to DS.

Yes... you can find them.. you may have to order them online!!

I know I was on a probiotic while I was pg after being sick with a sinus infection. Not sure if it had dairy  But it was a pill. Maybe you could open the capsule and mix it in juice or something?

OMG. I am glad they caught it but sorry she has to endure antibiotics for that long. I she tolerates them well.
