Major work done in our LR/DR (pics)
So we sanded the walls, primed them (with 3 coats of primer) and ripped up the carpeting. The carpeting had mold underneath and the padding was wet....gross!
Now we have to sand the floors and refinish them...I'm so tired...
That last picture has two different color wood floors...weird... Image Attachment(s):

Beautiful!
My biggest fear of buying a home is finding mold...ugh. I lived in an apt overcome with mold and got soooo sick. Be careful around it...especial Jared.
Your floors look beautiful! Why oh why would people cover those up?!

I'm still not sure yet. I would love to do burnt tile (deep red color) in the living room or dining room. But my connecting kitchen is going to be sage and I don't know how that would look going from red to green like that.

Looking good!!! Ughhh this brings back memories. We lived in dust and construction debris for a long time. It's worth it in the long run

Looks great!
Since the mismatched part of the floor is against a wall, maybe you could put a piece of furniture over it. The only other thing I can think of is to refinish the area so they are the same color.

the SAME THING happened to us! We tore down a wall between the den and LR / the floors were moldy and gross....I feel your pain!

It looking good and the floor looks like part is red oak and the other part is white oak. We actually had that on our main floor but it was every other plank and looked nice but unfortunatly the floors were in horrible condition. I would replace the smaller section with the same wood and then have everything sanded at the same time.
