Make sure your DH knows the rules!
So we BD Thur, Sun, due to a crazy weekend of travel, staying w/ family, etc.. I am pretty sure I "O" Saturday or Sunday. DH was aware of this. So last night I get out of the shower, and say "Are you ready to BD?" He gets this look on his face. It takes me a few minutes to realize what is going on. I say "Noooooooo" you didn't!!! Why would you do that!!! Well apparently while I was in the shower shaving my legs to be considerate. DH serviced himself! Who does that! First of all, I am right here if you want some. Second of all we are trying to make a baby. Why would you waste it!! So DH says I didn't know that was a rule. I thought we were just going to go to bed. So I said new rule!!! You are not to do that at all!!!! Why do they do that? Does anyone else have this problem? It kinda freaks me out. We have more than enough BD going on, and other things. He really has no reason to service himself, unless it is out of boredom. So the moral of the story make sure you DH knows the rules!! Oh and he says to me I didn't think we were ttc, I thought we were just going w/ the flow, and not trying to not get pregnant. Hello that is just what I say sometimes to make me feel better, and not be completely obsessed with this. We ended up BD but we had to wait until he was ummm ready again.

To them it's a toy, and they play with their toys when they're bored. Knuckleheads.

Re: Make sure your DH knows the rules!
It all comes back to communication
you assumed that he knew you were going to BD that night, you assumed that because of that he wouldn't 'take care of things', you assumed he knew that you had O'd and would want to BD that night. Unless you guys had talked about it, it's not really his fault for not knowing these things.
please don't tell him he can't do that anymore, i think thats a little harsh. Maybe talk to him and explain that he can't do it for the 2 weeks leading up to O'ing etc. but once you've O'd and you're in the 2WW.. there's no harm in him doing that if he wants.
and ftr, it has nothing to do with 'wanting' you or not, or how many times you do it. it's just an urge, like scratching an itch

Re: Make sure your DH knows the rules!
I don't know--nor couldn't care less--if and when my DH does "that." It is none of my business...TTC or not. I truly don't mean to sound harsh--and maybe you were joking--but this kind of attitude (especially after TTC only one previous month) could have the potential to REALLY put a strain on the whole thing. You don't want to go through that.
Good luck this month...it sounds like you're covered anyhow! And I hope this is it for you guys and then your DH can go back to ummm...

Re: Make sure your DH knows the rules!
THIS CRACKED ME UP! My DH doesn't do that unless I tell him "I have a headache" I told DH we had to do it every other night starting on XYZ night, so he already knew what he was in for, for the next few weeks. Just make sure you two communicate so no one gets angry & keep it fun

Re: Make sure your DH knows the rules!
I have to say this cracked me up. I totally understand it decreases his little guys count. But so does a hot shower, boxer briefs. Plus for them its like "Well I have nothing better to do let me touch myself." When my husband told me that I was like "Wow guys and girls are sooooo diffrent."

Re: Make sure your DH knows the rules!
My DH didn't know that rule either. Luckily I informed him before it was too late. During the 2 week period when we were BD-ing every other day that was not allowed. I had to explain to him why. Men!

Re: Make sure your DH knows the rules!
Ok for the record all of this was done in a joking manner. We both kind of found it funny. I don't want people thinking I am a total towards DH. I also did communicate with him about O. He defin knew that I was "O" b/c I told him on Thursday that I thought I was going to soon, then on Sat and Sun that I defin was. I also told him when he came home from work yesterday that we were going to do it again last night. He just didn't realize it mattered. I love the comparison to an itch.

Re: Make sure your DH knows the rules!
lol my dh does that like everyday - ttc or not.. although i do warn him to save up his best swimmers for me!! i think he does it a bit less cause of TTC, but only like 10-15% less. overall im fine with it as long as he's good to go when the eggies are!! but i guess cause my O has been so sporadic and unpredictable i cant blame a dude for self serving when he can anyway this whole post makes me laugh, i figured it was meant to be funny
