Makeup Help-All you makeup artists come in!

I would say I have Olive skin tone that tends to be quite tan at times. Tons of freckles too.

I learned to like wearing eye shadow and I cant seem to find ANY COLORS that dosent seem to make me look all washed out.
And the fact that my eye lids are not as wide, they are small...anything I use...cant be seen. (maybe I aint applying it right)

Any suggestions on colors I should be looking into? I feel like I need more vibrant colors but something I could wear on a daily basis.

Maybe I need to hit a makeup counter and get a makeover Chat Icon

For brown eyes these are the colors that will make your eyes pop:

silver, bronze/copper/gold, and purples

Some eyeshadows I use:

Vincent Longo Eyeshadow Trio - Sex, Lux, Pax in Soul (golden vanilla/ gold/ warm copper)

Nars Duo Eye Shadow in Belly Dance (metallic jade/ deep aubergine)

Nars Single Eye Shadow in

#1 Ashes to Ashes

#2 Night Porter (black with green pearls)

#3 Ondine (plum with gold shimmer)

#4 Strada (amethyst infused with gold)

These are just a few. I have like a million eyeshadows in my makeup trunk.

OMG...looking at your profile photo, you can wear SO many colors!!! You have great coloring!!

Check out Laura Mercier's Metallic Creams. Those would look really good on you!!! Just use one of your light color (white/cream/light tan) eyeshadows as a highlighter by your brown bone and be sure to bring the color eyeshadow that use on your lid higher, past your lid crease.

You can totally do color and it would look awesome. You may want to try L'oreal's HIP line...bright vivid colors. You can apply them lightly with your fingers. Start off with just a little along your lashline with a q-tip.

As for lips, brick reds, plums, bronzes would be nice. Play up a neutral color with a lipliner. It's an easy way of changing a color without going too drastic.

I'd even suggest using a cream blush. Clinique makes nice ones. They go on a bit more sheer, so they are easier to work with.

I'd go to the drugstore and buy some cheaper things. Ask for the exchange policy on opened makeup and have fun!
