Makeup must-haves for over 40?
I feel I should revamp my makeup - while I still look youthful and gave good skin, i am thinking I need to start switching over to more mature makeup for my everyday look - any ideas on who and what?
i love Bare minerals - I feel that has been a great choice lately - any other brands?

This and if you use loose powder the Laura Mercier Translucent Loose Powder is a much better choice on over 40 skin than the Mineral Veil

Makeup must-haves for over 40?
IT cosmetics . And honestly, next time young go to dr, get Latisse. My lashes are so sick! I get compliments all the time . Lashes always brighten your face

Did insurance cover it?
Insurance won't cover it as its strictly cosmetic. But it's prescription only so you have to get it from a doctor

No. I've paid between $110-$130 for it. Depends if I buy it from Derm, or pickup at pharmacy. It's so worth it and the bottle lasts me at least 4 mos.

I really enjoy the CC Cream and the bye bye undereye. I'm not sure which I like more, IT cosmetics or bare minerals.

Yes, it's Rx. There's a possible side effect of lighter-eyed people having their iris lightening, or brown speckles, but it's rare. I have green eyes and have been using latisse on and off for 5 years with no side effect like that.

I have upped my lipsticks to include items from YSL, and my foundation is Marc Jacobs. I love laura Mercier for concealer and eye shadow/caviar stick shadows. Hourglass for setting powder and blush. I am still in my 30s though....

I just turned 40. I didn't know there is something different I should be using or doing now? I know there are anti- aging products and wrinkle creams. But makeup?

Yes definitely. As my skin has aged I find that certain foundations and especially powders settle into the fine lines and age me more.
I need a more dewey, less matte look now. And less is definitely more now...too much of anything also accentuates things I don't want accentuated now.
