Re: Making a Baked Potato
Microwave for 5-6 min. Depends on the size of the potato and every micro is different. If after 6 min. its not soft, put it in longer.

Re: Making a Baked Potato
I preheat the oven to 400 and I wash and then poke the potatoes. If large, I cook for 60 min. If small/medium, I cook for 40 minutes. They taste yummy and I sprinkle fresh chives over it with melted butter.

Re: Making a Baked Potato
I do 375, wrapped in foil. there's no time frame... just grab them with your oven mit and squeeze... when they're squishy, they're done!

Re: Making a Baked Potato
I also rub olive oil and kosher salt on it before baking so the skin is nice and crispy.

Re: Making a Baked Potato
I scrub them, poke them with a knife then rub them with olive oil, salt and pepper. I bake them at 425 for about 50 minutes. --just keep sticking them with a knife until they are soft enough.
