Making an offer on a house with a binder?
Anyone do this with success? We LOVE a house that we saw and it the other RE agent told us they already had a binder. My RE agent told us we would have to go in over asking - which I am not sure I want to do. Anyone have this work out for them?
Also, the people buying the house were there at the time we were and it was a nice family with 2 kids and there is a part of me that thinks it is bad karma to do that - DH thinks I am crazy

it can't hurt to try. what's the worst thing? they say "Sorry, going with the first offer"
if you don't try, you may kick yourself.
good luck whatever you decide to do.

there are so many houses out there at great prices...do not feel bad!
as for the binder...that means they are not in contract yet, right? if so - anything goes and the first bid should have hustled getting their inspection and contracts signed.
