Making DC's birthday cake-- resources for ideas?
I want to make DD's b-day cake every year. Are there any good websites for ideas of cakes & how to make them? I've tried google searches and don't get much help. Ideally, maybe a turtle one?
ETA: oh, I see some good ideas in the related posts on bottom too

wilton has a giant cupcake pan that is soo cute.
i used it for DD's 1st birthday with matching regular size cupcakes.

I have collected a bunch of Wilton pans over the past year - and what I plan on doing is making a character cake every year to go with her theme of her party.
Last year I did an Elmo cake for her 1st Birthday:
I have also made a cake for Graduation:
And recently I just made this for Easter:
You can be sooooo creative with these Wilton pans!!!

I just bought a cake (well, cupcake) mold for a butterfly (DD's theme) at Linens & Things. But, I'm not so crafty so we will see how it turns out....

I just made a #1 cake for DS' birthday using the wilton pan. I want to make a cake every year to match his b-day "theme" My Mom always made my cakes and I want to do the same.
