Making lasagna moist and cheesey...

Whenever I make lasagna, lasagna rolls, stuffed shells, manicotti, etc, it comes out of the oven dry. Good, buy dry. The cheese doesn't get gooey and moist. Any tips?

Re: Making lasagna moist and cheesey...

not sure if it is the trick, but I use egg whites in my riccotta cheese.
I also make sure there is enough sauce.

even when I use fat free cheese it's moist and gooey!Chat Icon

I add a whole egg to my ricotta. And I use a lot of cheese and sauce--never comes out dry.

I never use shredded cheese. I cut down it in large slices.
I use one whole egg in my ricotta mix.

I make it with the Barilla no boil noodles & follow the recipe on the back of the box. I make my own sauce ahead of time. I just made it last weekend & it was very moist & cheesey. It also reheats really well in the microwave.

Ditto with the no boil noodles. For some reason the texture is better when I use them as opposed to the ones you have to boil.
