Making things with brownie mix that aren't brownies?
Do you use brownie mix to make other things besides brownies?
I've made brownie cookies before, but that's about it.
I have TONS of brownie mix I'd like to put to good use.
TIA!

Brownie cookies sounds good. What about going on their website? They usually have good ideas for other recipes.

The only things I can think of still require you to bake the brownies, but use them differently -- as the crust for a cheesecake, as the "bread" in an ice cream sandwich, or as a layer in a trifle with whipped cream and chocolate mousse.

chocolate trifle
1 (19.8 ounce) package brownie mix 1 (3.9 ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix 1/2 cup water 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk 1 (8 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed 1 (12 ounce) container frozen whipped topping, thawed 1 (1.5 ounce) bar toffee or chocolate candy DIRECTIONS Prepare brownie mix according to package directions and cool completely. Cut into 1 inch squares. In a large bowl, combine pudding mix, water and sweetened condensed milk. Mix until smooth, then fold in 8 ounces whipped topping until no streaks remain. In a trifle bowl or glass serving dish, place half of the brownies, half of the pudding mixture and half of the 12 ounce container of whipped topping. Repeat layers. Shave chocolate onto top layer for garnish. Refrigerate 8 hours before serving.
Brownie Caramel Cheesecake 1 (9 ounce) package brownie mix 1 egg 1 tablespoon cold water 1 (14 ounce) package individually wrapped caramels, unwrapped 1 (5 ounce) can evaporated milk 2 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened 1/2 cup white sugar 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 2 eggs 1 cup chocolate fudge topping
DIRECTIONS Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease the bottom of a 9 inch springform pan. In a small bowl, mix together brownie mix, 1 egg and water. Spread into the greased pan. Bake for 25 minutes. Melt the caramels with the evaporated milk over low heat in a heavy saucepan. Stir often, and heat until mixture has a smooth consistency. Reserve 1/3 cup of this caramel mixture, and pour the remainder over the warm, baked brownie crust. In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla with an electric mixer until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Pour cream cheese mixture over caramel mixture. Bake cheesecake for 40 minutes. Chill in pan. When cake is thoroughly chilled, loosen by running a knife around the edge, and then remove the rim of the pan. Heat reserved caramel mixture, and spoon over cheesecake. Drizzle with the chocolate topping.

I do this in a regular cupcake tin and make brownie cupcakes/muffins.

Re: Making things with brownie mix that aren't brownies?
I make "Smore's"
Prepare the brownie mix as per the instructions on the box.
Line the pan you're using with foil and then put down a layer of graham crackers. Pour brownie mix over graham crackers and bake as usual.
When the brownie is done put a layer of mini marshmallows on top and return to the oven for 2 minutes (or till the marshmallows begin to melt)
Place another layer of graham crackers on the top of the still warm marshmallows and press so they stick.
You can either let it all cool and cut into squares or add another step....melt some chocolate chips and spread a layer of chocolate on the top of the graham crackers.
Put the whole thing in the freezer for about 2 hours so they're easy to cut.
I've made these a lot and people love them!

OMG this sounds amazing! So, what do you do? Mix the batter and put it in the pan and THEN put the marshmallow on top....all BEFORE baking?
