There are lots of photos of the crash site if you go on twitter and search #MH17. Some even have photos of bodies, its awful.
What a horrible, sad situation.

I think it's a crazy coincidence that out of all the planes and all the airlines this happened again to a Malaysia airlines flight.

I think it's a crazy coincidence that out of all the planes and all the airlines this happened again to a Malaysia airlines flight.
Mauve it isn't a coincidence. I think there is a lot that the public is never told.

ITA I was just saying that to DH. I'm surprised I haven't seen that mentioned anywhere in the media. Not to suggest they are related but just that it's such a coincidence.

There were 3 infants onboard
...the flight was carrying a total number of 298 people – comprising 283 passengers including three infants of various nationalities and 15 crew of Malaysian nationality. Some of the nationalities of the passengers are yet to be determined.

I saw A woman with her infant interviewed on Nightly News Tonight. She was supposed to be on that plane and for whatever reason she missed it. She was shaking, and just kept saying "I've been given a second chance on life." It gave me chills.

I agree. And wasn't that about the same time Putin took over Crimea? Nice little distraction from what Russia was doing while there's a wild goose chase for a missing jet.

Totally agree. And actually had a fleeting thought. I wonder if it was shot down and it just so happens no one can find it so they're choosing to not take reaponsibility. Whereas if it crashed over land maybe then they would have?
Kind of how the 9-11 attacks they were successful in crashing two planes into two towers but the fact that they fell was an extra bonus to them, no one would that would happen just like no one thought a plane could disappear like that!
