Re: male factor infertility. need some reassurance.

We have male factor but not that severe. I am sorry that you are going through this. I think that "maybe" (don't quote me on this) there is a procedure where they can go in a get maybe a few??? But I could be totally wrong about that.

Hang in there. I am sure the doctor will have some answers for you. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

There is a procedure where a small tissue sample is taken from your DH and sperm can be extracted in order to fertilize your eggs. It's truly amazing what fertility treatments can do.

Re: male factor infertility. need some reassurance.

We have severe MF...don't give up just yet. DH had 3 SAs, a retrograde ejaculation test, a scrotal sono, and finally a testicular biopsy where they found a blockage. How is your DR sure that he has no blockage without a testicular biopsy?
I would see your RE about that or get in touch with a fertility urologist for more tests. Its possible they can find something to extract. Good luck! Chat Icon

We have severe too but we do have some sperm. The procedure babyfaith is talking about is called TESE, I think. It's amazing. If they even find one sperm, they can do ICSI with it. Good luck and don't give up hope.

My DH has the same problem. We just did IVF and on the day of the retrieval he had a procedure called TESE. The doctor was able to get 2 vials of sperm. There's definitely things that can be done. Chat Icon
