Male factor issues
I was just wondering for those who have male factor issues, how you deal with it. Even more important, how does your SO/DH deal with it. By this I mean it's the only reason you haven't been able to get pg. If it turns out that that is our issue, I'm not sure how DH will take it, so I guess I just want to be prepared. So far, I have nothing on my end that is preventing us from ttc, but all test results are not back in yet.
If it's too personal, then fm me please.

Re: Male factor issues
Bah nothing is too personal anymore. lol.
DH has low morphology but that is not the problem for us. He wasn't happy to hear it, changed from briefs to boxers and started taking fertility blend. But it's more my problem than his since we did and will do ICSI for our IVFs.

Re: Male factor issues
We are about 50/50 on issues.
I have PCOS and DH has the infertility trifecta - low morphology, low motility and low counts.
I would say we've had equal amounts of guilt and despair over our situation.
No matter what the issue is, it kind of makes you feel helpless. Just support him the best you can.

Re: Male factor issues
Dh and I just started our fertility testing. So far, his results came back and he has a very low sperm count. I begin my testing on Mon. Dh has been taking the news very hard- blaming himself and really come down hard on himself. I have just been reassuring him that I love him and that I don't blame him for us not being pg yet. I let him know that we are in this together and support him as best as I can.

Re: Male factor issues
My DH had a blockage problem which he had surgery for in June. Now, it took 1 year of trying with no luck for him to see a dr and about another year of trying with no luck to actually have the surgery. So it was hard for him to accept but in the end he made an effort. This month is 2 years that we are trying and now, post-surgery we are hoping for success! The way I personally dealt with it was just remembering that there is so much that can be done these days, medically speaking....I was very upset and worried at first. If you ever need to talk, please FM me

Re: Male factor issues
DH has low morphology, but it didn't really bother him because he knows there's nothing he can do about it. He's actually proud of his crazy spear-headed sperm IVF with ICSI worked for us.

Re: Male factor issues
Dh still denies that low motility was the problem. He was willing to do whatever I wanted to get pregnant but was in denial that it had anything to do with him. Maybe he was right but that's how he dealt with it.
