Has anyone been? What can you tell me about your experience?

Re: Mallorca, Spain
I was there years and years ago and it may have changed some. Mallorca is also known as Majorca. It's one of the Balearic Islands off the coast of Spain (there is also Ibiza, Menorca and one other I can't remember).
What are you looking for from your holiday? It can be very busy and full of English/Irish/German tourists. I just remember loads of pubs serving British food, which suited me perfectly at the time, but I don't know if that's what you would be looking for. Some towns have lots of clubs, some are geared towards families with amusements etc. My friend was just there in September and she had a nice enough time, but wasn't totally crazy about it.

Re: Mallorca, Spain
I have been there! We were just there as part of our cruise in September. Honestly, I just thought it was ok. It was very pretty, but liked Malta a lot more. It was a lot more modern than I thought it would be. Sorry - I know this isnt super helpful, but thats the only way I can describe it - just OK.

Re: Mallorca, Spain
No, it's all helpful - thanks.
We're tossing around destinations and, to be honest, I just like the name so I suggested Mallorca
We're interested in a bit of everything - culture, relaxation, good food...

Then I wouldn't recommend Mallorca.

Re: Mallorca, Spain
Maybe the Canary Islands would be a better idea...
