mammography during 2WW
Do you think it is safe to have a mammography during my two week wait? I think I ovulated yesterday and my appt. is on Wednesday.
I already canceled the appt. once and it takes like 6 months to get another one scheduled.

I'm a mammography technologist, and the answer to that is not to have the mammo..... If there is ANY Chance of being Pregnant we are NOT to do the test...... The slightest amount of radiation could intefer with the development of a fetes in the earliest stages..... I would wait until I got my period, or reschedule and just dont have any unprotective sex in that time frame....

Thanks. What about using a lead cover over your abdomen? I've read online that sometimes they do that.
I guess I will reschedule. This is the 2nd time I've rescheduled and it took 6 months to get another appt.
But..it is better to be safe. I've been TTC for a year and a half....so I would hate to find out I'm pregnant and then worry about the fact that I had a mammogram.

where I work in Garden city, they wouldnt do it with an apron.... it doesnt guarantee 100% protection.... Sorry....
