Manchester Tan vs Shaker Beige
PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE for my LR/DR!!!! I've searched and saw just a few pictures but I need more b/c it was hard to tell. I want something beigeish (word?) tan. I'm afraid Manchester Tan is too light and Shaker Beige is too dark
PLEASE POST PICS OF THESE COLORS BEFORE I GIVE UP
Thanks!

Re: Manchester Tan vs Shaker Beige
I like the Manchester Tan. We chose Yosemite Sand, which I *think* is closer to that color.
Funny...we went through the same confusion - beige is/was harder for us to chose than any other color. There's such slight variations - like a pinkish hue, or more green, etc.
Oddly enough we told the guy we wanted one color (the darker of the two we chose) and he made the lighter. I figured it was meant to be...it turned out it was.

Re: Manchester Tan vs Shaker Beige
I liked both of those colors as well.
We went with Shabby Chic for our living room and hallway.
Here is a pic....

Re: Manchester Tan vs Shaker Beige
Ok, here it is. It may be lighter than what you're looking for, but it ended up working out perfect our our LR/DR since it's on the small-ish side....
We have a dark red accent wall, so the ligher beige worked out great...
HTH!

Re: Manchester Tan vs Shaker Beige
we painted our living room shaker beige and I LOOOOVE it, it is a great color you can really do everything with.
We did manchester tan in our bedroom--well only one wall so far, not a big fan, a little too much mustard-y for me (if that makes sense) we will repaint something either closer to or even the same as shaker beige...

Re: Manchester Tan vs Shaker Beige
I have Bleeker Beige in my living room and love it. Not too light, not too dark. I don't have a picture but you can always stop by and see.

Re: Manchester Tan vs Shaker Beige
Thank you everyone! And thank you for the pictures .
The Yosemite sand is pretty but a little too light (although I'm sure DH would like it).
I like the SB a lot and I'm glad you all said it isn't too dark!
Laura, it's funny, I put both colors on the BM website (which I'm addicted to ) and the Bleeker and SB are almost identical!
Thanks again girls....I'll have LOTS more paint questions sooooooon

Re: Manchester Tan vs Shaker Beige
I like Manchester Tan, and we may use it in the Dining Room. For the living room, DH felt it was too dark, so we are going with something very light called Windsor Cream. It's more of a creamy color with a touch of yellow, so nothing like what you want. Sorry, no pics yet since DH is painting today.
I'd rather err on the side of too light than too dark, especially if the room isn't very large or doesn't get a huge amount of light, but I'm not sure what your space looks like.

Re: Manchester Tan vs Shaker Beige
our apartment has the same wall color as Lorich's pictures... a dark cream color... initially, my impression was (I would have preferred a very light grey), but it actually has grown on me quite a bit. It acts like a warm white in a way. The white moulding and doors really 'pop' against that light beige, and it's an inviting color.

in 1st set of pics or 2nd? if 1st, pottery red on top, lenox tan on bottom. both BM.
if 2nd set, it was the previous owners colors. i think they were old claret on top (pink/purple color) and timind white on bottom. here are old pics of when we viewed the house. Image Attachment(s):
