"Mantras" for keeping the babies in / enduring the strain of the pregnancy
For the physical, mental and emotional strain of carrying multiples, that is...
Let's share or brainstorm mantras / affirmations.
I've been going with:
"Each day in makes them stronger." (which I got from Waterspout)
"Other people's negativity is their own and I don't allow it in." (for when people make ignorant or insensitive comments.)
"I know just how to nourish and protect my babies." (which sometimes means having them taken out early if medically necessary. But overall trusting in your body & maternal instinct.)
I'll try to add more when I listen to my hypnosis cd again.
What are / were yours?

Re: "Mantras" for keeping the babies in / enduring the strain of the pregnancy
I have no clue how accurate this is, but it's nice to think about it!
I was on bed rest from 21w6d until I delivered at 34w4d.
The doctors always told me that every day I kept those babies in was 3 less days they'd have to spend in the NICU! I liked thinking about that during difficult times.
And just as something to remember in life for me, because I'm such a "planner"
Don't worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring worries of its own. Today's troubles are enough for today.

Mine is totally and completely influenced by the book I've been reading by dr. Luke: When you're Expecting Twins, Triplets and More....
"Every single action I take every single moment of every single day is devoted to keeping them in there as long as possible."
I hope this helps! I find the other quotes you have all left very inspiring!!!!!!!! Great thread!

Re: "Mantras" for keeping the babies in / enduring the strain of the pregnancy
I pretty much just look down at my belly and tell them "stay in, babies"! So far they are listening.
I'm on modified bedrest where I can work from home but I'm supposed to take breaks. It's hard to stop working and take a break because I just want to get my day overwith, but I tell myself I have no choice. I have an issue putting myself before others or work, but I have to tell myself I'm not putting myself first by resting, I'm putting myself first. I'm the only one who can keep them in so I'm all they have.
