March Mommies how are we doing
Well with the recent passing of my BIL and DH now upstate for the funeral i've been a little lonely, depressed, and trying to keep myself calm until DH comes home so that I don't go early. Still have yet to have my shower and baby will be here in about 3 weeks so not sure if I will make it to that but oh well. Feeling miserable all over the past few days but that might also be because of the family strain right now. Right now getting ready for baby is on a standstill until DH returns because I cannot do anyything that is left preparation wise. Sorry for the vent.
How are all of you feeling?

First...
Everything will be ok ... in the mean time try to relax and don't let anything stress you out, easier said than done I know...but remember its all about the beautiful blessing that you will have in your arms soon
I went for my first internal today...not so bad..she said my cervix is closed but I am thinning out (not sure what that means ) I start my childbirth classes tomorrow and I got the call, the baby's furniture will be delivered on Saturday..DH still hasn't finished painting the room!!
I started putting some of the stuff in the carry on that I am taking to the hosital..I still have to do the baby's laundry and I'm feeling excited and scared all at the same time.

Re: March Mommies how are we doing
I'm due April 1 so I often check in with both March Mommies and April Mommies.
Calendargirl, hang in there. We'll be thinking of you.
Things are going pretty well here. I'm having some period-like cramping, am unable to get comfortable, and am very short of breath. BUT, I had my 34wk sono last night and everything looks great. Baby weighs approx. 5 lbs 10 oz and is in position.
We finished the nursery aside from hanging the blinds and the curtains. I think my shower is the first weekend in March.

Re: March Mommies how are we doing
I'm so sorry to hear about your family's loss. It must be very heard and stressful right now, but try to focus on the great things to come!
Things are going okay around here. I am 34 weeks and the baby is BIG and BREECH... so we are discussing a scheduled csection at my next appointment. The nursery is almost complete. Most of the furniture is coming today! My MIL threw me a great shower a couple of weeks ago at the Meadow Club (I would highly recommend this as a location, if anyone needs a place in Suffolk), and I am anxious for the furniture to arrive so I can really put things away. I still need to call a couple of pediatricians, do some baby laundry, get a plan for my doggie, and pack my bag.
I hope everyone stays as comfortable and happy as possible in the next month or so!

Re: March Mommies how are we doing
37 weeks tomorrow and she's still breech. If still breech by friday they will schedule me for a csection. Other than that I'm doing good. Have my bags packed and the room ready. Just waiting for her to make her appearance!

Re: March Mommies how are we doing
So sorry about your loss . As far as my pregnancy, I had a sono yesterday, baby is 5 lbs. 9 oz. already and looking good. I am having my c-section at the very end of March (due to medical reasons). Baby has been very active and my heartburn and peeing is out of control! My hands are also constantly numb. On top of that I have a horrible cold. So needless to say I am pretty miserable LOL. I cannot wait to hold this baby in my hands! I am getting more excited and nervous. I am so curious to know what the baby will be (boy/girl) and what he/she will look like!

I'm so sorry for your loss
I'm 34w2d I finally washed baby's clothes yesterday and am thinking about my hospital bag (right now all i have in there is the Viacord box) I take a BF class tomorrow night Done with childbirth class I need to get replacement tubes for the pump my SIL is lending me The nursery is as ready as it can be but the crib won't be in til the 3rd week of March (I ordered in November!) I found out today that my top pick for daycare has a spot for baby I'm relieved that that's settled since I've been on a waitlist since October! Baby is in position and my mom swears I've dropped. I think I have a little, but not completely (does it happen in stages?) Oh, and I got a new family car over the weekend so that's another thing off my to-do list!

Re: March Mommies how are we doing
First off...I am so sorry for everything you are going through!!!!
Things are coming along sloooooooooooooooooowly!
--Had Group B test today and started weekly OB visits. WHERE DID THE TIME GO!!!! Last week she was Breeched, but looks like she might have flipped, they will check next week to be sure --Finished parenting-prep classes yesturday --Took BF class --Taking CPR/AED next month (need to maintain cert. for jobs and a good refresher) --Have DH work shower next month --Taking Baptism parents workshop next month --Hopefully organizing our bedroom and order swivel-glider chair this weekend. --Installing carseat this weekend so it can be inspected --Met with pediatrician --Bag is packed --Hopefully will decide on a new car really soon! --Need to wash baby items!!!! --Trying to get a job lined up now. Few interviews, so
Overall I feel good, starting to feel tired though. Sleep pretty good at night, besides the million times up to pee. Starting to really feel large at this point!

Re: March Mommies how are we doing
I am very sorry for your loss
I will be 35 weeks on Thursday
At my 34 week appointment last Friday I was up 43 lbs and the midwife felt the need to tell me that she "thinks" I will be having and 8 and a half pound baby since I am such a tall girl. Uh-huh.
I had my shower on Saturday and it was wonderful. This baby is so very blessed already. Need to go to BRU and buy more stuff that I didn't receive at my shower (baby bottles, bassinet sheets, etc).
My boyfriend put together the highchair, swing, baby glider. Still need to put together the bassinet.
We still haven't decided on or ordered nursery furniture - not worried about it since baby will be in bassinet in our room for a few months.
Finished our 6 child preparedness classes and we both actually miss going to them.
Haven't packed hospital bag yet.
Feeling good, but starting to get a little nervous as I get closer to D-Day.
Still eating... a lot

Re: March Mommies how are we doing
I'm sorry for your loss as well.
I am 35 weeks today and getting soo tired. I cant sleep at night between not being able to get comfortable and my mind going crazy because i'm starting to get so nervous.
The baby's room is almost done! Most of the clothes are washed and I am going for the tour of the hospital on the 1st.
Last thing I really need to do is start my hospital bag. I'm going to try and do that this weekend.
I cant believe March is almost here!!

Re: March Mommies how are we doing
I can't believe it's almost March. Still on my to do list: Laundry - baby clothes, towels, blankets, boppy cover, sheets, etc. Make curtains for baby's room Vacuum the ish out of that room- the carpet fibers are rediculous. Install car seat (we pick up th enew car on Saturday! ) Wash all toys and pacifiers and stuff. Call Church re: Christening Add music to iPod for L&D room.
I'm sure there's more. I plan to buy an excercise ball- the lamaze lady suggested this for labor.
My pack n play is th efirst thing that was purchased of fmy registry, and I never got it- so I'm not sur ehow long I will wait before buying it myself.
If any of the big boxes in my room need to be assembled, then that has to happen too. Like the strollers.
