I put the heavy one in. It has been so cold this week and I'm due Friday. I was very torn to which one to use. If I was due towards the end of March, I would of used the light weight one.

Someone recently told me about an article they read regarding how unsafe it is to put anything "extra" in the infant carrier. I did register for one, but didn't get it at my shower - I will just use a blanket.

Light one plus blanket- the baby won't be in the cold very long- just from the door of the hospital to the door of the car to the door of the house!

This is what I was told in my Child Prep class. I'm going to use one anyway. I know it is bad, but it seems like every mom uses them.
