March of Dimes Jet Pull Sunday Oct. 22
March of Dimes Jet Pull for Prematurity
Lauren (LaurenEXP) and I along with our DH’s will be volunteering at this event on Sunday. We hope to see some of you there!
Sunday Oct. 22nd 11am – 2 pm
Republic Airport Rte. 110 Farmingdale
The event will help the March of Dimes fight against premature births. This is the first time March of Dimes is hosting this type of event and we are looking to make it as successful as possible. The mission of the March of Dimes is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, infant mortality & premature birth and it cannot be done without your support.
* 20 teams will be competing to pull a Fed Ex 174,000 pound 727 airplane 12 feet the fastest
* Kiddie Event (there will be a “plane-cycle” for kids to ride, entertainment, face painting and Fed Ex is also trying to get a kiddie plane for kids to pull!
* Vendors such as: DJ Louie, Cold Stone Creamery, Ruby Tuesday, Hot Dog Vendor and Famous Daves!!!
* Singer, Magician, raffles, marching band, beanie babies sales, walk radio, News12.
* Historical bonus: There is expected to be an actual WWII twin engine plane to land while the event is taking place. There will also be an F14 plane on display.
Directions:
Southern State, East or West: Exit at Route 110 Farmingdale North. Take 110 to Conklin Ave (Airport Plaza, movie theater/shopping center) and make a right. Parking is behind Dave & Busters (formally Jillian’s)
LIE East of West: Exit at 49 South. Travel 110 South. Turn left onto Conklin Ave (Airport Plaza, movie theater/shopping center) Parking is behind Dave & Busters (formally Jillian’s)
Northern State: Exit at 110 South, follow directions of LIE above.
