Mardis Gras Themed party???
So, I am going to have a Mardis Gras themed party, and need some more suggestions. I am going to make Jambalaya, crawfish, hurricanes.
Im also going to have paper goods in the colors of purple, green, gold, and will have mardi gras beads, and make masks.
Im looking for more suggestions, and ideas in terms of food and decorations.

Try going to foodtv.com and look up emeril live - he always has lots of cajun/southern inspired stuff.

Sounds like a great party!
you can check out oriental trading for decorations, beads, etc
mardi gras stuff
For food -
red beans & rice
beignets - You can order the mix from Cafe du monde
King cake -king cake

There is a cake they call the King Cake that is a tradition at Mardi Gras
