Hello Ladies,

I have spoke with a wonderful Psychologist that I know Dr. Laura Elick PHD who specializes in the following.
All Seminars will be held on Monday evenings at 7pm


Sept 17th-
Postpartum Depression:
This seminar will focus on teaching expectant and current moms to identify signs and symptoms of common postpartum mood disorders. Risk factors for PPD, causes and ways of managing symptoms and where to turn to for help will be discussed. Special issues related to being the "postpartum husband" will also be addressed.

Sept 24th-
Emotional Eating and Weight Management:
Do you continuously battle with your weight? Do you fight to lose those last 10 pounds, only to wind up gaining back 20? If you are looking to win your battle against the scale, this is the workshop for you. We will focus on learning how to identify your particular cues or triggers to overeating and develop strategies to manage emotions and stop turning to food.

Oct 1st- Work/life balance:
The demands on the modern family have grown tremendously over the past few years. Many families need both parents to work in order to "make ends meet." Busy, stressed, and overworked moms are less likely to take care of themselves and may turn to unhealthy coping strategies (food, smoking, etc.) to manage anxiety. Come meet other moms for support and learn ways of balancing the demands of family and work.
